Day 1: Amritsar to Jammu (Approx. 215 km / 5–6 hrs)

Your journey begins from the vibrant city of Amritsar. After an early breakfast, drive towards Jammu – the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. If time permits, you may visit the famous Raghunath Temple or enjoy shopping in the local market.

Day 2: Jammu to Srinagar (Approx. 270 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your scenic road trip to Srinagar — the summer capital of Kashmir. Witness mesmerizing views as you drive through tunnels, lush valleys, and the beautiful Chenani-Nashri stretch. Upon arrival in Srinagar, check in to a houseboat or hotel. Relax by the Dal Lake and enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride in the evening.

Day 3: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

Today is reserved for exploring the iconic sights of Srinagar. Visit the Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Head to the historic Shankaracharya Temple for panoramic views of the city. Spend the evening at the vibrant local market or enjoy a sunset view by the lake.

Day 4: Excursion to Gulmarg (Approx. 50 km / 2 hrs one way)

After breakfast, take a day trip to the meadow of flowers — Gulmarg. Enjoy the world-famous Gulmarg Gondola ride (ropeway) to Khilanmarg and Apharwat Peak (at your own expense). You can also try snow activities (seasonal) like skiing or sledging. Return to Srinagar by evening.

Day 5: Srinagar to Pahalgam (Approx. 90 km / 2.5–3 hrs)

Drive to Pahalgam, the "Valley of Shepherds", via the picturesque route of saffron fields and pine forests. En route, visit the ancient Avantipur temple ruins. On arrival, explore the riverside markets or relax by the Lidder River. Optional horse rides to Aru or Betaab Valley (at own cost).

Day 6: Pahalgam to Sonmarg (Approx. 180 km / 5 hrs)

Post breakfast, check out and drive to Sonmarg — the "Meadow of Gold". Arrive and explore the stunning Thajiwas Glacier by pony ride (optional). The drive itself is full of breathtaking views of Himalayan peaks and alpine meadows. Spend a relaxed evening in Sonmarg.

Day 7: Sonmarg to Jammu (Approx. 330 km / 8–9 hrs)

Today is a long travel day as you start your journey back to Jammu. Enjoy scenic breaks along the way and relive your Kashmir memories. On arrival in Jammu, check into your hotel and rest.

After breakfast, check out and begin the final leg of your return journey to Amritsar. Reach by afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 8-day scenic Kashmir escapade.
