Day 1: Welcome to the Holy City – Spiritual & Historic Trail

Your journey begins as our driver from Simrat Travels greets you at the Amritsar airport, railway station, or your hotel. After a quick check-in and fresh-up, the day starts with a visit to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) – the spiritual heart of Sikhism. Feel the divine aura and enjoy the peaceful vibes of this sacred place. After langar (community meal), head to the nearby Jallianwala Bagh, the site of the tragic 1919 massacre, now a memorial to the freedom struggle.
Next, visit the Partition Museum, where powerful exhibits tell the story of India’s division in 1947. In the evening, take a leisurely walk in Heritage Street, lined with traditional Punjabi shops and food stalls. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Culture, Color & Patriotism – Border and Local Exploration

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the beautiful Durgiana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga. Its architecture closely resembles the Golden Temple and offers a serene experience. Then explore the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and Panorama, where the legacy of the ‘Lion of Punjab’ is preserved through rare artifacts and life-like visuals.
In the afternoon, enjoy some shopping time at Hall Bazaar – famous for phulkari embroidery, Amritsari juttis, and spices. Later in the evening, drive to the Wagah Border to witness the dramatic Beating Retreat Ceremony between India and Pakistan. The energetic parade, cheering crowd, and patriotic vibe create an unforgettable experience. Return to the hotel for rest.
Day 3: Village Life, Food Trails & Departure
On the final day, experience rural Punjab by visiting a nearby Punjabi village or farmstay (optional). Witness tractor rides, traditional cooking, and warm village hospitality. Later, indulge in an Amritsari food trail — tasting delights like kulcha, chole, lassi, and jalebi at famous local eateries.
If time permits, visit the Gobindgarh Fort, a 260-year-old heritage site with live cultural performances, museums, and a VR experience of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s reign.
After the tour, you’ll be dropped off at the Amritsar airport, railway station, or your preferred location, marking the end of your 3-day Amritsar journey filled with devotion, heritage, flavors, and memories.
